The DeKalb County Visitor’s Bureau is a member of the Indiana Foodways Alliance which was created by members of the I-69 Cultural Corridor Association in January 2007. The Indiana Foodways Alliance is the first membership-based association of its kind in Indiana dedicated to the development and promotion of the local food culture.

Sechler’s Pickles

You can’t dine here, but you can sample some very good pickles. Take a tour of Sechler’s Fine Pickle factory in rural St. Joe, Indiana. You will experience the same fine art of pickle processing that began in 1921 when Ralph Sechler founded his pickle company in the homestead that still stands next to the factory.
